Pore-Clogging Ingredients
We cannot accurately apply comedogenicity information about one ingredient to a total formulation. It is difficult to determine the comedogenicity of a finished product. Ingredients can actually make one another more or less comedogenic.
Skin reactivity can depend on the individual. Some ingredients may be pore-clogging for some but not for others. Even products labeled ‘non-comedogenic’ can still block pores.
I recommend checking makeup ingredients just to be safe because most makeup companies don’t invest in making the formulations safe for acne.
